2025 Victorian Championship for Players with Disabilities

Format: 5 rounds Round Robin or Swiss depending on entries Venue: Dandenong Chess Club (Men’s Shed Endeavour Hills) Dates 6th and 7th of December 5 Rounds (all at 7.15 pm): Saturday 6th of December Opening Ceremony 9:30am Round 1 10am Round 2 1:30pm Round 3 4:30pm Sunday 7th of December Round 4 10am Round 5 1:30pm Rate of play: All moves in 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move 1 Ratings: Event will be rated on ACF rating lists Forfeit time: 30 minutes after start time Byes: 2 half point byes may be taken in rounds 1 to 3. Pairings will be published straight away after the round has finished. Eligibility: To play in the event classification through medical certificate will be examined and thus entries to the Victorian Championship for Players with Disabilities will close 1 week earlier in order to make sure players are eligible. Players with a Physical Impairment, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment and Intellectual Impairment will be eligible providing they produce a medical certificate along with their entry fee by the due date. If someone is not eligible, a full refund of their entry fees will be returned. Tiebreaks: 1. Direct Encounter 2. Number of Games Won 3. Buchholz 4. Buchholz Cut 1 5.
