The Melbourne Chess Club (MCC), founded in 1866, is one of Australia’s—and the Southern Hemisphere’s—oldest continuously operating chess clubs. Located at 66 Leicester Street, Fitzroy, MCC is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting chess for players of all ages and skill levels. The club reinvests all its revenue into improving facilities, running events, and nurturing its vibrant chess community.
